Gattuso's men: Bruno Dominici, fitness coach

The plan for the squad's return is explained in detail

Bruno Dominici, Valencia CF's chief fitness coach, spoke to VCF MEDIA during the World Cup break to talk about how he is preparing the squad for a return to action and the work that is being carried out in such an exceptional period of the season, in which the competition has stopped for the celebration of the World Cup in Qatar 2022.

A second preseason

This is a second preseason. It's shorter than the first. We planned everything in July for the first few months of the season, and now we have time to work a lot with the players that we have here. We have 3/4 of the squad here.

A preseason halfway through preseason

"It's different to preseason, because now we know the players and the team. It's easier for us. We have to always give a small rest period, then we can start working afterwards.

Comunication with the Medical staff

Of the general plan for players, who may be carrying injuries or suffering from fatigue, Dominici said that "The communication between the coaching staff and medical staff means we speak 3-4 times a day. We talk about all of the players, because we have to decide what is best for everyone."
